Welcome to the 2017 Monday After the Masters Volunteer Effort in North Myrtle Beach, SC! The key to any successful tournament is the volunteer force. The MAM is very thankful to have a team of volunteers that rival any tournament in the country. We invite you to come be a part of the MAM Team and make a difference.
The registration process is very simple:

1.See the Volunteer Job Descriptions section below to familiarize yourself with the volunteer effort and what job might interest you most.
2.Click here
3.Complete and submit the Online Volunteer Application
4.The volunteer coordinator will confirm the acceptance of your registration with an email and your information will be distributed to the corresponding chairperson for scheduling beginning in February of 2017.

Volunteer Package

Volunteer Fee - $35

(1) General Admissions ground ticket provided for the golf on Monday, April 10, 2017
(1) Invitation to the Volunteer Appreciation Party. The VAP is generally hosted in the summer after the event in Myrtle Beach. The VAP is hosted for
VOLUNTEERS ONLY. No Guests.


Nike Outerwear Piece (Optional) Within the Online Volunteer Application, volunteers will have the opportunity to order a Nike (blue) logoed outerwear piece for an additional charge of $35. All outerwear orders must be received and processed by Monday, Feb 27, 2017.

Uniform Pick Up

Volunteers may pick up their uniforms during advance week at one of the two days listed below. If a volunteer is unable to attend either of the days listed below, he/she may pick up their uniform at the tournament office downstairs at the Dye Clubhouse beginning Thursday, April 6th – Sunday, April 9th between the hours of 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM. It is permissible to have someone pick up your uniform for you if you are unable to make the dates below:

Parking for Volunteers

The General Spectator / Volunteer Lot will be located in Barefoot Landing next to the House of Blues and Alabama Theater. Buses will load from the red awning by the Alabama Theater.

MAM Volunteer Job Descriptions

Admissions/ Will Call – Volunteers in this committee will assist in on-site ticket sales for the event and will be responsible for will call tickets. Day needed: Monday

Information – Volunteers in this committee will staff the information tent and provide guests information regarding: tournament pairings, restroom locations, tent locations, public concessions and golf course directions provided by the tournament. Day needed: Monday

Leaderboards – Volunteers will staff the board and update with scores relayed to them by radio or runner. Must have golf scoring knowledge. Day needed: Monday

Marshals - Volunteers will be positioned on every hole. Their main focus will be to ensure that the players are not disturbed during play and to enforce crowd control. They will also assist in finding lost balls in the landing zones. Golf knowledge preferred. Day needed: Monday

Media Shuttles – Volunteers will assist in transporting members of the media to on-course locations during the tournament. Volunteers in this committee will be using golf carts to shuttle. Day needed: Monday

Practice Range - Volunteers assist in providing and maintaining a suitable driving range operation for the contestants, with controls exercised over gallery of spectators. Days needed: Sunday – Monday

Product Distribution – Volunteers in this committee will assist tournament staff in distributing/replenishing product on course during the event. Days needed: Saturday - Monday

Scoring Central –Volunteers are responsible for obtaining scores from the walking scorers via the radio or phone and maintaining the official scoring sheets. Golf Knowledge is Necessary. Day needed: Monday

Transportation – Volunteers will assist in moving vehicles, airport transfers and providing transportation for VIP, guests and celebrities if requested. Need valid driver’s license, auto insurance and clean driving record. (Must be at least 21 years of age) Days needed:Friday – Tuesday

Volunteer Services – This committee helps staff the volunteer tent, handle uniform distribution prior to the tournament and maintain a comfortable environment for the volunteers. Day needed: Monday

Walking Scorer – Volunteers will walk with each group and record the scores for each player in the group. Must have knowledge of golf scoring, rules and the ability to walk 18 holes. Day needed: Monday

FAQ

I DON’T SEE MY PREFERRED COMMITTEE CHOICE ON THE ONLINE APPLICATION? Once a committee becomes full it is removed from the online application. If you do not see a committee listed as an option on the online application, it has become full and is no longer available to select.

WHAT ABOUT THE PERKS? Each volunteer is entitled to a free ticket to the Monday golf event. Please feel free to share this with friends and family. There will be a Volunteer Appreciation Party some time in the summer after this year’s event. Volunteers will be informed of party details through email notification.

**Regarding the free ticket – It has come to our attention that some volunteers have been selling these tickets for a profit. Out of courtesy for the charity and the kids of South Carolina, please refrain from selling the tickets. If we are notified a volunteer selling his/her ticket for a profit, he/she will not be permitted to return as a volunteer for the Monday After the Masters.

WHAT ABOUT AUTOGRAPHS? No memorabilia will be allowed on course carried in large bags or back packs larger than 8x8x8. Spectators are limited to bringing in no more than two pieces of memorabilia on site. Please report any abuses by spectators or other volunteers to your volunteer chairperson. We do allow our volunteers to ask for autographs but ask each volunteer to use discretion as to the time and place of the request. Please be a VOLUNTEER FIRST!

WHAT IF I CAN’T MAKE MY SHIFT? Please try to alert your volunteer chairperson as soon as possible if you are unable to make your shift. A listing of all chairs and hole captains contact phone numbers and email addresses has been provided with this packet.
